Rio Tinto

October 3rd 2018 – Rio Tinto: extended contract for Independent Safety Assessment of the CCS subsystem used in Australia on the Rio Tinto Mining Network (approx. 1300 Km) to Italcertifer.

The Australian Railway network, owned by Rio Tinto, is used to transport to Dampier and Cape Lambert ports the material excavated in the 15 mines of the company in the Pilbara region, located in the northwest of Australia.

The mineral, destined mainly for the markets of China and Japan, travels on freight trains that can be composed up to 236 wagons (about 25,000 tons per transport), hauled by 3 diesel Engines.
