ISA Activity (Independent Safety Assessment) for Signalling subsystem of Zapresic – Zabok Railway Line in Croatia

Italcertifer has been engaged by ALSTOM as Independent Safety Assessor for Zapresic – Zabok Railway Line Signalling Subsystem in Croatia.

A 23.9 km section of single-track railway between Zapreśic in Croatia’s inZagreb County and the town of Zabok in Krapina-Zagorje County is being rebuilt and electrified with support from EU funding. Located within the region of Continental Croatia, the line forms part of a key commuter corridor, providing a link with the capital, Zagreb.

I
ts goal is the reconstruction and upgrade of the line in order to ensure safe and efficient rail transportation. After the project is completed, the line is expected to be included in the suburban rail transport network of Zagreb.

The plans provide for a complete reconstruction of the railway line, which will be equipped with appropriate safety signalling and telecommunication devices. Also, railway stations and crossings should will be modernized The Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) of Specific Application of Zapresic – Zabok railway line Signalling (single line 24km lenght, 4 SML400 interlocking in Novi Dvori, Luka, Veliko Trgovisee and Zabok) includes the evaluation for safety, on field tests,  test witnessing in lab and on field; and issuing of the ISA report for Specific Application.
